We believe in one God revealed to us as God the Father, God the
Son, and God the Holy Spirit, eternally existing in full unity and
completely divine in essence and being and person. God has
shown Himself to mankind through creation and, more
specifically, through His Word, the Bible. The Bible is given by
God and has been recorded by men. Being the Word of God, it is
without error, completely sufficient for all things pertaining to
godly living, and is the ultimate authority in all matters of life.
God’s Word reveals to us that in the first man, Adam, mankind
fell. We are all by nature sinners who are completely unable to
redeem ourselves by our own merit or works.
God’s Word reveals to us that Jesus, God’s only begotten Son,
died on the cross in the place of sinners. Jesus took each
redeemed person’s sin upon Himself, and at the moment of
salvation He places His righteousness onto them. This has been
accomplished through His death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus
is alive today and sitting at the right hand of the throne of God.
God’s Word reveals to us that each person who has professed
faith in Jesus should then be baptized by immersion in water.
This is often referred to as believer’s baptism.
God’s Word reveals to us that believers are called out of the world
to gather together in what is referred to as a local church, of
which Jesus is the Head. In each community the local church is
the God ordained hub for evangelizing, discipling, and training
believers for the work of ministry.
God’s Word reveals to us that those who have professed faith in
Jesus, who have been baptized, and have joined themselves with
a local church should partake of the Lord’s Supper together. This
should be done in remembrance of Jesus our Redeemer,
proclaiming His death till He comes again.
God’s Word reveals to us that those who have been truly and
genuinely redeemed will continue in the faith to the end through
the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, whom they received
when they believed on Jesus for salvation.
God’s Word reveals to us that in the resurrection of the dead the
redeemed will be raised to eternal life in heaven, enjoying the
presence of God forever, and the unredeemed to the lake of fire
in torment forever. The latter is not the desire of God but rather
the just punishment for each one who rejects His Son.
